17m
Daniel Keel, born in 1922, was one of only three Black officers in World War II to achieve triple ratings as a navigator, bombardier, and pilot in the U.S. Army Air Force, as a member of the Tuskegee Airmen. He protested segregation during his training and, after his honorable discharge in 1946, became a successful master electrician and commercial contractor.
